Halestorm frontwoman Lzzy Hale, who came out as bisexual, has reacted to her inclusion in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s newest exhibit, ‘Women in Metal: You Will Know My Name.’ The groundbreaking exhibition opened on Friday, July 10, 2026, in Cleveland, celebrating the female risk-takers and icons who have shaped the historically male-dominated metal genre.

“I’m so proud to be a part of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s ‘Women in Metal’ Exhibit,” Hale expressed. “I’m honored to stand next to my sisters of scream. These women have set me on fire and helped shape this genre. Together, we are creating a space to shine, be loud, and carve a path for the next generation to follow, like our foremothers inspired us. Raise your horns and come celebrate with me on July 10th!”

The exhibit marks a significant moment for metal music. It shines a spotlight on the pioneering women who have persevered and thrived in a genre historically dominated by men. The Rock Hall’s Assistant Curator Haley Cronin curated the display, which features artifacts and stories from notable female metal icons. These artists defy typical labels of womanhood and have made lasting contributions to the genre.

The opening celebration featured performances from Lzzy Hale and guitarist Joe Hottinger, her significant other. They delivered a short acoustic set on the outdoor PNC Stage. The dedication ceremony began at 7:00 p.m. in the Union Home Mortgage Plaza, with doors opening at 6:00 p.m. Regional metal bands Storms Within, MAXILLA, and Reign of Z performed following the dedication. The event drew metal enthusiasts and supporters eager to celebrate the achievements of women in the genre.

The exhibit showcases artifacts from a diverse roster of female metal pioneers, including Lita Ford, Alissa White-Gluz, Taylor Momsen, Courtney LaPlante, and Lzzy Hale. Each artist represented in the exhibition has broken barriers and challenged conventions within metal music. They have established themselves as influential figures who have inspired generations of musicians and fans. Their contributions span decades of metal history, from the genre’s early days to its modern evolution.

The Rock Hall provided multiple ticket options for attendees to experience the opening event and exhibit. General admission for the dedication and metal showcase was priced at $15. An “Event Plus” ticket at $40 granted access to the concert and museum admission from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., including full access to the new ‘Women in Metal’ exhibit. The accessibility of these ticket prices reflected the Rock Hall’s commitment to making the celebration inclusive for all metal fans.
