Slipknot’s Corey Taylor discussed retirement plans. During a recent interview with Rock Feed, Taylor revealed the years of physical stresses from touring live and using all his energy on his live performances- both with Slipknot and solo. As a result of all the movement and stress, the rocker ultimately revealed that he only has five more years.

Although it seems that the frontman might retire soon, there are still many things he looks forward to doing. Taylor shared:

“There’s a silly handful of things that I want to do right and that I’m looking to try and do, and I’m being proactive in doing them, but once I run out of ideas, I’ll just be like ‘right, it’s time to find my favorite chair and gain some weight.'”

The rocker then revealed the reason for his thoughts of retirement:

“I have a lot of freaking miles on me. It’s hard for me as people don’t realize this, but when I walk, I’m almost in constant pain. It’s my knees, it’s my feet, I have a broken toe on this foot, and I have gout across my feet which goes up into my joints, and yeah, it’s tough – I’m not as nimble as I used to be, I’m not 35 anymore.”

Taylor didn’t forget to note that when it’s time for him to put a stop, he will work from home.

Earlier, the Slipknot frontman made it clear that even though he had to retire earlier than his bandmates, he would help them find a new lead singer for the band if they ever decided to continue without him.

Although there is now a possibility that he could be retiring in five years, the rocker is now on tour both solo and with Slipknot. You can see the dates for the solo tour here, and see the recent interview below.
