At the age of 17, Lemmy encountered a girl named Cathy while on vacation, and he pursued her to Stockport. She gave birth to his son, Sean, who was subsequently placed for adoption. the 2010 documentary film ‘Lemmy,’ the rocker mentioned having a son whose mother had recently reconnected with him, but she ‘hadn’t got the heart to tell him who his father was.’

Lemmy decided to keep his identity a secret from his child. Apparently, Cathy went up and found him, but the father and the son never communicated. In addition, Lemmy was never curious to find out who his son was because he had never met him, and doing so would have ‘ruined’ his life.

Later, when he was a member of The Rockin’ Vickers before Motörhead, Lemmy had an encounter with a woman named Tracy in Manchester. Tracy had a son, Paul Inder, whom Lemmy met six years later.

Unlike Sean, Paul was involved in his father’s life even though it was in the later years of their lives. In fact, Paul even joined his father on stage many times. Paul Inder stood steadfastly by Lemmy’s side until the latter’s passing, bearing witness to his final days.

In an interview during the 2016 Grammy Awards, Inder shared insights into Lemmy’s unwavering determination to perform despite facing health challenges. He recounted a specific incident where the late singer summoned the strength to go on stage despite being laid out backstage. Lemmy Kilmister’s resolute commitment to music and his steadfast refusal to retire remained a defining aspect of his mindset until the very end.
