Despite being known for being the lead singer of a world-renowned metal band, the rocker’s net worth is less than it can be expected. Joining Judas Priest in 1970 after the original singer’s departure, the rocker gained a worldwide critical acclaim throughout his career. His success and contributions made him gain a certain amount of net worth, though it’s less than you might think.

Halford’s Career In and Out of Judas Priest

Born on August 25, 1951, Halford was influenced by artists like Robert Plant, Little Richard, Janis Joplin, and Elvis Presley. In the early 70s, he joined Judas Priest as the lead singer, contributing to albums like ‘Rocka Rolla,’ ‘Sad Wings of Destiny,’ ‘British Steel,’ and more.

After leaving the band in 1992, he formed the band Fight, releasing ‘War of Words’ and ‘A Small Deadly Space.’ Halford also ventured into industrial metal with the band Two for only a year. Returning to his metal roots, Halford formed his solo band in 1999, releasing albums like ‘Resurrection,’ ‘Crucible,’ ‘Halford III: Winter Songs,’ and ‘Halford IV: Made of Metal.’

Halford rejoined Judas Priest in 2003, touring with them in 2004 and releasing ‘Angel of Retribution.’ Subsequent albums include ‘Nostradamus,’ ‘A Touch of Evil: Live,’ ‘Redeemer of Souls,’ ‘Battle Cry,’ and ‘Firepower.’ The latter, in 2018, marked their highest-charting US album at number five on the Billboard 200 and their first top-ten UK album since 1980’s ‘British Steel.’

Beyond Judas Priest, Halford performed with Black Sabbath, Sum 41, Metallica, Pantera, Pansy Division, and Babymetal. In film industry, he played a role in ‘Spun,’ and voiced characters in the video game ‘Brütal Legend.’
