In a recent tweet, Alex Skolnick said Kid Rock is more successful than Testament.

“What is it about this guy that so many folks are ready to abandon music by ALL these beloved artists?” the guitarist wrote, sharing the news with the title ‘ABBA Joins List of Over 30 Artists to Tell Trump to Stop Using Their Music. “As well as by far less household names (ie. me)? So the creators are all wrong & only he’s right? Forget TDS – This is TWS Trump Worship Syndrome Enjoy Kid Rock & Lee Greenwood.”

“I love Testament. Seen them multiple times. I’m not a big Kid Rock fan. That being said, Kid Rock is far more successful,” a fan wrote in the comment section.

“Agreed, good for him,” Skolnick admitted. “No disrespect to anyone who likes his music (not my thing) but it’s beside the point. Even if you’re a fan of his, to abandon all the amazing music on that list (not talking about my band!) – because of loyalty to a loudmouth political figure – is insane.”

Last month, Skolnick criticized Kid Rock’s performance on social media. He responded to a video of Donald Trump and a comment about it. The comment criticized Kid’s performance at the Republican National Convention, saying, “No twerking. No rapping. No a** shaking. Just President Trump Trump doesn’t need a cheap gimmick to draw a crowd.”

“Somebody tell Kid Rock,” Alex wrote in his response. Kid had performed at the Republican National Convention on July 18, playing his hit song ‘American Bad Ass’ with altered lyrics to support Trump. He also echoed Trump’s rally cry, ‘Fight, fight.’ On social media, many mocked Rock’s performance.

This year, Celine Dion, Foo Fighters, and Beyoncé asked Trump not to use their songs. Recently, Trump played a Foo Fighters song at a rally without permission, and the band will donate any money from it to another campaign.
