“His health and happiness is the most important thing to me,” she wrote on X, sharing a video of Corey from one of his performances where he expresses how supportive Alicia had been during his difficult times. “I will always be by his side.”

In a follow-up tweet, Alicia added, “This was in June. About a year ago, we were on separate tours, working our individual careers. Just looking at photos of him this time last year, you can tell something was wrong. I needed to be near him again- he had to do the work, but now at least I’m here to support him.”

“I’m so grateful he has done the excruciating inner and shadow work to build himself strong on his own. Trauma can cause a myriad of issues into adulthood. Please seek help and support. You can push through and find happiness. I promise,” she continued.

Earlier this year, in January, Corey announced the cancellation of his North American solo tour, which was supposed to begin in Toronto on February 3 and run through March 3. He attributed the cancellation to his mental and physical health and shared the news via Instagram.

“It is with a heavy heart that I announce the cancellation of my upcoming North American tour. For the past several months my mental and physical health have been breaking down, and I reached a place that was unhealthy for my family and I,” Corey explained.

He added, “I know this decision will come as a shock to some and may be regarded as unpopular by others – but after taking a hard look at where I am and where I was going, I need to pull myself back and be home with my family for the time being. Those of you who bought tickets and VIP packages for this upcoming run will get a full refund.”

“I send my love to the fans, my band, my family & friends, and everyone who’s helped me get here thus far. I promise I’m doing everything I can to be as healthy as I can be. Until then, my apologies to everyone we would have seen on the tour – and hopefully we’ll see you again down the line,” he concluded.

In February, Corey shared a positive update on his mental health recovery on Instagram. He posted a photo with Alicia and expressed his gratitude and love.
