Andy Biersack Reacts To Black Veil Brides Being Snubbed From Best Rock/Metal Songs List

Andy Biersack shared his thoughts on Black Veil Brides not being included in the 2024 Best Rock/Metal Songs list.

The singer reposted Loudwire’s selection of the 67 Best Rock and Metal Songs of 2024 on X and wrote, “Huge thanks to Loudwire for including our song ‘Bleeders’ on this list! (It is not on the list).”

When a fan asked, “How do we get you on that list?” Andy replied, “We don’t Kat. It’s over. We will have to write another song that has millions of streams and spends months in the top 10 at rock radio next year and pray for a list.”

Another fan commented, “Well there’s definitely some songs that don’t deserve to be on this list… so i can’t trust the reliability.” Andy responded, “Nah no need to talk sh*t on others art. All of it is great and worthy I’m just trying to make you laugh Saryna.”

Black Veil Brides have started working on their seventh album following 2021’s ‘The Phantom Tomorrow’ and 2024’s ‘Bleeders’ EP. After their major London show on October 30, they returned to the studio to record new material.

In a September interview with Kerrang!, Andy discussed the direction of their upcoming music, saying, “‘Bleeders’ was written in the context of writing other new material, so it’s definitely where we’re heading – particularly Jake from a guitar perspective. Also, there’s clear growth in production terms.”

He continued, “Jake has become unbelievable in that department. He’s learned so much about building out songs and all the stuff that goes into the eventual ear candy. We’re in a position now where we can do so much more with the dual thread of Jake being able to add electronic stuff, and then Jinxx coming in with the more orchestral side.”

Reflecting on their recent output, Andy noted, “We just realised that it’s nearly three years since [last album] ‘The Phantom Tomorrow’ came out. We were talking about it the other day and didn’t realise how long it had been, but then the world has been so odd this past couple of years, and we’ve done so much touring.”

He added, “But we’ve liked the idea of doing the two EPs because it’s an opportunity to do different types of stuff. Also, with this next album, you’re going to see more of it – songs, videos – before the full record actually comes out…”

While the release date for the band’s new album remains unknown, Black Veil Brides will kick off their Australian tour on March 11 in Perth, with four additional shows planned across the country.
