Earlier this year, in February, Roth released a video called ‘Lavender Forgiveness,’ featuring Taylor Swift’s ‘Lavender Haze’ with his own lyrics. The new version, titled ‘Forgiveness,’ removes Swift’s track and stands as an independent piece.

Fans have flooded the comments section with praise for the song. One fan expressed their enthusiasm, saying they would love an album filled with similar tunes. Others highlighted Roth’s vocal performance and the song’s inspiring story, while some encouraged him to continue making music despite previous talks of retirement following Eddie Van Halen’s passing.

A comment said, “Since Eddie left us, Dave did consider retirement. I am so glad he is pressing on. I really like his new music.” Another one shared, “I love this vocal, Dave! The song is great, too; an inspiring redemption story wrapped in a rootsy blues package.”

Several fans shared their admiration, with one calling Roth their ‘favorite singer’ and another requesting a full blues album. They wrote, “Wish Dave would do a whole album singin’ the blues like this, love it!!”

Recently, Roth also responded to critics through music. He had released ‘Giddy Up’ in 2020 as part of his comic book project, ‘The Roth Project.’ The song later appeared on YouTube, accompanied by a video of Roth riding a bike. Fans applauded the track, calling it ‘pure Dave fashion’ and celebrating his individuality.

Additionally, Roth posted a new dancing video set to Busy Signal’s ‘Balloon.’ Unlike a similar sepia-toned video he shared seven months ago, this one features him dancing in front of screens displaying New York imagery. Fans appreciated the video as another example of Roth’s lively and unique spirit.
