At 79, Keith Richards isn’t just a rock icon but a walking legend. When LaBelle reflected on the prospect of having such an enduring career, he admitted:

“I can’t imagine doing this till I’m that age.”

LaBelle also brought up Richards’ humorous remark from one of his books:

“That’s nuts. Good for him, though. He said in his books that if you only do the best drugs, they’re better for you. He’s living proof [for that].”

As a baby, Keith survived the London Bombings of 1944. Later, as a teenager, he experienced strychnine poisoning. Throughout his life, Richards escaped potentially fatal situations multiple times, from fires to stage accidents. An incident included Richards being electrocuted on stage yet walking away with minor injuries. You can read the instances where he cheated death here.

Famously, Richards once mixed his father’s cremated remains with drugs. There’s also a longstanding rumor, which Richards himself admitted to instigating, about him replacing all of his blood to get clean from drugs. However, this myth was later debunked by his biographer, who clarified that Richards underwent a hemodialysis procedure, not a full blood transfusion.

The Rolling Stones are currently gearing up to release their 24th British and 26th American studio album, ‘Hackney Diamonds.‘ It’s set to release on October 20, 2023.

Meanwhile, Dirty Honey is on the road for their ‘Can’t Find The Brakes’ tour. You can get your tickets here.
