Geddy Lee has provided an encouraging update on his recovery, expressing gratitude for the support he’s received while preparing to return to the stage. He shared on Instagram: “Thanks so much to everyone for all of your well wishes! I’m feeling so much better and hard at work with Dottie in the studio hitting all the high notes and getting ready to return to Texas this Saturday July 11th and Monday July 13th!”

Rush was forced to postpone two shows at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas, originally scheduled for June 30 and July 2. Lee had been diagnosed with laryngitis and bronchitis, conditions that required medical intervention and rest before he could safely return to performing.

This postponement marked the second setback for Rush’s Fort Worth run. The band had already rescheduled a June 24 show due to travel and border-related delays following their Mexico City tour dates.

When Lee was initially evaluated by his doctors, he was advised to take additional time to rest and recover before returning to the stage. The severity of his condition was evident during soundcheck, where he was reportedly unable to speak or sing. Laryngitis and bronchitis typically require two to three weeks for full resolution, though Rush has worked with a compressed timeline to bring the shows back.

All tickets from the original June 30 and July 2 dates have been honored for the rescheduled performances on July 11 and July 13. Refunds are available for fans unable to attend the new dates. The band’s commitment to completing the Fort Worth reunion shows demonstrates their dedication to their Texas fanbase, even as Lee continues his recovery process.
