Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Glenn Hughes announces his retirement from touring and live performances. Upon his Doctor’s advice, Glenn will have to undergo heart surgery and has made the difficult decision to step back from live performances for the foreseeable future.”
The announcement came shortly after what would become his final live performance with The Dead Daisies on May 30, 2026, at the Arcada Theatre in St. Charles, Illinois.
The timing of Hughes’s retirement marks a significant moment in rock music history. The veteran performer has maintained an almost continuous touring schedule since 1992. Hughes had previously planned 2026 as a deliberate break year. He intended to take time away from the road after decades of relentless touring.
