LaPlante responded to a fan after she invited her followers on X to ask questions about their upcoming album, ‘Tsunami Sea’. One fan asked, “When are you gonna announce that US headlining tour WITH A MEET AND GREET?”

LaPlante replied, “No meet and greet, I go on extreme vocal rest during a tour of that length.”

The band recently announced their new album, ‘Tsunami Sea’, and to give fans a preview, they released another single from the upcoming album.

In a series of fan interactions, LaPlante shared more details about the album. When asked about the album’s title, she explained why they chose ‘Tsunami Sea’ instead of just ‘Tsunami’. She said, “One is a single wave or series of waves, one is the metaphor of an ocean entirely made up of the tsunamis.”

A fan also inquired whether the band would explore new genres or return to their past sound. LaPlante simply said, “I think so.”

Regarding the album’s cover art, LaPlante described the inspiration: “It is our island, a place we always wanted to leave but it longs for us to stay.”

Another fan noticed the symbols associated with each song and LaPlante credited their artist, Kevin, for designing the symbols after listening to the album.

Spiritbox’s next performance will be in São Paulo, Brazil, on November 30.
