According to AllMusic, Petrozza began his musical career in 1982 when he first picked up his guitar for Tyrant. This band would eventually evolve into the legendary Kreator.

Petrozza started with Tyrant and transitioned to Tormentor in 1984. This band finally became as Kreator. Petrozza is the band’s lead vocalist, rhythm guitarist, and principal songwriter. He remains the only constant member throughout Kreator’s career.

Petrozza’s musical ventures aren’t limited to Kreator. In 1994, he collaborated with metal all-stars Voodoocult alongside Dave Lombardo of Slayer and Chuck Schuldiner of Death.

According to Blabbermouth, Kreator’s future plans are taking shape. “I’m starting [to put ideas together]. I have some demos. I have some songs,” Petrozza revealed about the band’s sixteenth studio album. The writing process began in October 2023. Petrozza is taking a measured approach. The album is scheduled for early 2026 release.

Nuclear Blast reveals that Petrozza has developed approximately ten new songs for Kreator’s upcoming album, and the band will dedicate 2025 to songwriting and recording.

Blabbermouth again reports that a documentary titled ‘Dystopia And Hope’ is in production. The film offers a look into a year of Kreator’s life. Director Cordula Kablitz-Post leads the project.

Petrozza is also working on a book titled ‘Your Heaven, My Hell.’ The book will chronicle Kreator’s formative years up to 1992.
