Slipknot confirmed the exit in a statement that briefly appeared on the band’s official channels before being deleted: “Effective immediately, Slipknot will no longer be associated with Sid Wilson. We wish him the best in his future endeavors.”

Wilson joined Slipknot in 1998 and performed as the band’s #0, serving as DJ, keyboardist, and turntablist for nearly three decades. Following the news of his exit, fans took to the platform to share their thoughts on whether the band should find a replacement or leave the position vacant.

“Please Slipknot, no replacement for Sid. Respectfully, no new #0 please,” one fan wrote.

While some fans hope the role remains unfilled, others have begun suggesting potential electronic music artists and DJs who could step into the position. The band has not announced a replacement, leaving the future of the #0 position unclear.

“Hear me out guys, Angerfist as new DJ,” another fan suggested. “Svdden Death for new DJ I said it,” another user commented. “What….they gonna hire f*cking DJ Lethal? Lol,” another fan added.
