“The final moment is upon us. Today, we take the stage for the last time as Sum 41,” Whibley stated. “It’s a surreal moment in so many ways. There are so many feelings, thoughts, and emotions running through me right now.”

“So much of what has happened in my life and the journey of the band is exactly what I had hoped for—what I predicted as a young teenager plotting to take on the world,” he continued. “I’ve often wondered how or why I saw so many things in my mind and then watched them unfold in real life. Could it have been a premonition or just the naïveté of youth? Was it manifestation? I’ll never really know.”

“But some things are simply unimaginable,” Whibley added. “I’ll admit, I did NOT see this coming. Being inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame was never something I envisioned down the road. We are forever grateful and thankful for this incredible honor.”

The band’s final performance signaled the conclusion of a punk rock era. Their achievements and memorable moments marked this significant milestone.
