Thy Art Is Murder’s new lead singer Tyler Miller posted a video on the band’s official Instagram account to share his feelings about being a member of the act.

The vocalist started his words by introducing himself:

“How is it going, guys? We are here in Wiesbaden, Germany. I’m sure all of you are wondering who the f*ck I am. My name is Tyler Miller. Some of you may know who I am, some of you may not, and if not, that’s totally fine.”

He then talked about his involvement in the band and their ongoing tour:

“It’s been kind of a crazy situation. One minute, I’m doing nothing in my house, and the next minute, I’m getting a text, and now I’m here. The tour has been awesome; a couple of days in, it has been super heavy and super fun, and I’m looking forward to meeting every single one of you. So thank you guys so much.”

Fans seem to embrace Miller, considering the comments on the video. One of them said:

“Welcome, and have fun on tour. Really like your vocals; keep slaying.”

Another fan also showed their support, saying:

“Welcome, Tyler! You’re absolutely crushing it and under such stressful circumstances, too. With the haters being so vocal online, a lot of other people may have crumbled in the same situation. Amazing to see you thrive with the band. It’s the start of a new era, and you have a lot of support! The proof is in these amazing crowds turning out for this tour. Keep killing it, brother.”

On September 22, Thy Art Is Murder revealed their separation from their singer CJ McMahon due to anti-trans posts he had shared on social media. Due to the negative response, McMahon chose to delete his social media accounts. Following this, the band posted a transgender flag on Instagram with the accompanying caption:

“Setting the record straight, we stand with you.”

Although the singer apologized a few days after his comment, he later admitted he did so under pressure. So, the band decided to let him go. The band also removed McMahon’s vocals from their recently released album, ‘Godlike.’ They re-recorded the album earlier that week, now with Miller as the new vocalist.
