Question: “Once this tour is over, this 84 To Headless tour is over, is there a possibility for some new music?”

Blackie Lawless’ response: “We’ve been working on stuff for a while. But I’m also working on a book, you know, between doing these tours and doing the book and doing the new music.”

“It’s like, you know, stick a broom up with bet and sweep, you know, at the same time when you’re not doing, you know, it’s like, you know, at some point, yes, we will, but I can’t tell you when. I would like to say next year, but people are asking me about the book, and I wanting to say next year as well. So, I really I don’t know, right? You know, it’s just… But we are working on it.”

Lawless made it clear that new music remains a priority for W.A.S.P. even as he juggles multiple creative projects at once. The comments arrive as the band gears up for a major North American run celebrating its classic early years.

The “1984 To Headless” North American tour launches on September 10, 2026, in El Cajon, California, and wraps on October 31, 2026, in Anaheim, California, with KK’s Priest as special guest. The shows focus on material from the band’s first four albums and pay tribute to that early era.

The setlist concept covers the self-titled 1984 debut, The Last Command (1985), Inside the Electric Circus (1986) and The Headless Children (1989).

W.A.S.P.’s most recent studio album of original material was Golgotha, released in 2015. The group has been working on new material, but no release date has been announced. The wait for a true follow-up has now stretched past a decade.

Lawless is also advancing his memoir project. The book is titled Tales From the Square Mile. He is roughly halfway finished and is aiming for a 2027 release.

“I’ve got my fingers crossed with this, I’m hoping it’s done before the year’s out,” Lawless previously said about his writing progress.
