“I actually become friends with them. I invited their CEO and I told him, ‘I don’t want anything from you. I’m not looking for money,'” Kid Rock said. “Everything’s fine in that department.”

“We had some mutual people,” he continued. “I was like, ‘Let’s have a conversation.’ It’s not any got ya either. Like I’m not trying to get you there to be like oh [ __ ] them this that and the other. And we actually became friends through this whole ordeal. Reporting from The Independent traces Kid Rock’s initial boycott to April 2023. The protest emerged after Bud Light partnered with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney, triggering significant conservative backlash.

The situation intensified when Kid Rock released a video of himself shooting Bud Light cases with a rifle. The footage quickly spread across social media platforms and ignited intense public debate.

Bud Light experienced substantial market consequences during the boycott. Industry analysts documented significant sales declines throughout the second quarter of 2023. The brand struggled to maintain its market position during this period.

The events highlighted how brands and public figures interact in today’s polarized social media environment.
