KISS Guitarist Tommy Thayer Reflects On Band’s Final Tour

KISS guitarist Tommy Thayer discussed the end of the band’s touring career in a recent interview with Guitar World. The End of the Road tour concluded KISS’s 50-year touring legacy and closed an era-defining chapter in rock history.

“I was happy with how we wrapped up the End of the Road tour; I felt proud to be together with those guys for the end of 50 years of touring,” Thayer said. “It turned out to be an incredible five-year journey that just kept going and going – ups and downs, highs and lows. It was like a rollercoaster at times, but we made it.”

The End of the Road tour concluded in December 2023. This final performance marked KISS’s last appearance as a touring band. The historic farewell journey became one of the band’s most ambitious and successful tours.
