Twisted Sister’s Dee Snider had an emotional social media interaction with The Wildhearts’ Ginger Wildheart, who was diagnosed with terminal cancer and has refused treatment, about the early ending he believes he is facing because of the disease.

Dee Snider wrote: “Brother Ginger, the world can be really disheartening. You will be missed.”

Ginger Wildheart commented on Dee Snider’s message: “I genuinely believe I’m being pulled out of this ridiculous game early. I believe in a love that would do that for its most deserving.”

Dee Snider responded: “We will be less without you.”

The exchange comes after Wildheart publicly discussed his diagnosis and his decision to focus on living with positivity rather than pursuing treatment.

Wildheart was diagnosed with mantle cell lymphoma, a rare and aggressive form of cancer, after experiencing severe pain during The Wildhearts’ More Satanic Rites UK tour in December 2025.

Wildheart also confirmed that he had decided against treatment. “I won’t go through treatment. I’ve lived the life of ten men and will die with dignity,” he said in a statement.

The Newcastle-based musician said he had been given a prognosis of approximately two to three years. He also wrote: “Still got 2-3 years to say goodbye to everyone. And I’ll be rocking until the very last moment. No misery please. Positivity all the way.”

Despite the diagnosis, Wildheart has indicated that he intends to remain creatively active. He continued writing material for The Wildhearts and his solo projects, while scheduled performances were expected to continue.
