George Lynch recently explained why Lynch Mob had to come to an end and shared what his future might be looking like while chatting with Guitar World.
The rocker had been signaling the band’s decision to end things for a while now through numerous social media posts; so, when the host asked what initially brought the decision to disband, Lynch said:
“We’ve decided as a band that we want to end our over 39-year run on a high and positive note. This is a great version of the band, with its own sound, while still retaining elements of the trademark Lynch Mob style.”
What’s Next For Lynch Mob Before They Call It Quits?
Lynch also decided to share what Lynch Mob’s future looked like before the decision to disband came in full force and they left the scene for good. He stated:
“We plan to hit 2024 hard by touring the U.S. heavily, and then a few key dates in beginning of ’25, making sure we get to every nook and cranny in the country.”
The rocker then mentioned why it was important that they had to tour across the country:
“We want to give fans one last chance to see a really kickass Lynch Mob show before we wind it up.”
Although Lynch Mob will be calling it quits in a few years, the band still remains active creatively by releasing new material, as they just released their album, ‘Babylon,’ a few days ago.
