The drummer shared a photo with Hagar from one of their recent shows and wrote, “Just played 4 bada** shows with Sammy Hagar on his Best of All Worlds Tour.”

Last week, it was announced that Bonham left Sammy’s tour because of a family issue, and Aronoff took his place. “Tonight I’m going to dedicate this to the Bonham family in England,” Hagar said before performing ‘Eagles Fly’ at the Riverbend Music Center concert in Cincinnati. “Hope everything works out okay over there and to our brother Jason.”

Later, Jason made it clear why he left the tour. A user commented on Hagar’s Instagram post with a video from a recent show, saying, “Wow, man. You changed the kick drum heads. Jason is his own man. His dad is in there plenty. It’s been a long time. And you smacking those high notes right in the tune, Sammy. Dammy. Nothing like a tour to get the chops flowing? You sound great, man! Hope, you do another leg & or tour brother.”

“I felt uncomfortable leaving the heads the same without Jason playing the kit he’ll be back,” Hagar responded to the comment. “Prayers for his mother in order my friend. Thank you.”

Bonham also wrote, “I’m in UK with my family as we navigate a very difficult situation. I need all your prayers right now.”

The North American leg of the tour ended on August 31 in St. Louis, Missouri. They will also perform in Japan on September 20, 22 and 23. It’s not yet clear whether Jason will return or not. Still, fans liked Aronoff’s performance with the band. “You crushed in Nashville,” one person wrote in the comment section of his Instagram post.

Another one wrote, “Incredible to see you with this band! What a night in Nashville!!!” “Saw you in Cincinnati! Thank you so much for stepping in and doing a wonderful show!” one other commenter said.

Hagar’s Best of All Worlds tour also features Joe Satriani, Michael Anthony, and Rai Thistlethwayte. Aronoff and Sammy worked together before in Chickenfoot.
