Dream Theater drummer Mike Portnoy recently shared his excitement over the response to the band’s new single ‘Night Terror.’
“Incredible!! Almost 2 Million Views on YouTube in under a week,” Portnoy wrote on Instagram. “Thank you all for the overwhelming response to Night Terror… it’s been great reading the comments, watching the reaction videos and covers, etc The excitement is palpable! Cannot wait to share the rest of the album with you all in February, but in the meantime… time to kick off this 40th Anniversary Tour in a few days and we are so excited to play for you ALL everywhere we can!”
The band has been teasing the album for a while. They posted on social media, saying they were almost done. Recently, they started sharing videos with each band member, except Portnoy, and included lyrics from ‘Night Terror’ in each clip.
Dream Theater’s new album ‘Parasomnia’ will be released on February 7, 2025, through InsideOut Music. This marks their first album with Mike Portnoy since 2009’s ‘Black Clouds & Silver Linings.’ The announcement follows the news of their upcoming 40th-anniversary tour.
