Motionless in White’s Chris Motionless On His Love For Taylor Swift And Gwen Stefani

Motionless in White’s Chris Motionless and In This Moment’s Maria Brink recently appeared on the ‘Power House’ and chatted about their most memorable first, as well as the last concerts they went to. Chris recalled his first show back in the ’90s; he said:

“My first concert ever was in the mid-90s. I went to go see No Doubt’s ‘Tragic Kingdom’ tour. I could put my money where my mouth is. I’ve always been a fan of very iconic powerful women on stage it’s such an amazing thing to watch.”

The first ever show Chris attended was fronted by Gwen Stefani, it seems the last show he saw was also performed by a woman. He added:

“My last show, it’s Taylor Swift a couple of weeks ago, yeah that’s the last show.”

The singer had previously told MoreCore. TV that he had already been to a handful of Swift’s ‘The Eras Tour’ shows and even praised her for what she created for her fans. He said:

“I went to go see five of her shows on her tour in the U.S. right now — three in Atlanta and two in Philadelphia. I love her stuff, I love what she does. And I don’t care who you are or what style of music that you like or don’t like, you can’t deny her show is phenomenal. The amount of effort and detail that goes into it has to be appreciated no matter what.”

After Motionless shared the two female leads as his picks, Maria recalled her mom taking her to see some ‘powerful women’ as well. She explained:

“I think back when I was a little girl, the first concert I remember really, my mom took me to see Stevie Nicks. I was like five years old I think, and I was blown away. She would always take me to like Tina Turner, and I’m talking when I was a little girl, like to all these powerhouse women.”

Brink also expressed that those women also influenced her to want to be in the music industry. She continued:

“So those are the ones I think I remember the most, as they impacted me. I think [those shows] actually made me decide that I wanted to be on stage someday subconsciously in my head, even as a little girl watching these powerful women.”
