“When I heard Johnny Cash do [Nine Inch Nails’] ‘Hurt,’ I realized that so many different kinds of music could find their way into these sorts of sounds,” Gaga said. “‘Closer’ is a huge inspiration for ‘Mayhem.'”

The revelation provides fans a glimpse into the potential sonic landscape of her forthcoming release. This new direction showcases a bold evolution in her musical journey.
