Jared Anderson’s Cause of Death
Anderson struggled with drug abuse, which became public in 2003 when he left Hate Eternal. At the time, he admitted, “Due to a continuous ongoing drug problem for the last couple of years, I’ve committed myself to rehabilitation.” He stated that he needed time to recover and could not continue in the band. “I will be leaving Hate Eternal due to the time and dedication it’s taking to get myself back on the right track. It’s the right thing to do for I cannot be responsible for holding the band back.”
On October 14, 2006, Anderson passed away in his sleep. There was no cause of death given, but due to his previous statements about substance abuse, it might be related to that.
Before his death, Anderson started a new project called As One… with Steve Tucker of Morbid Angel. His final recorded work was a guest appearance on The Allknowing’s cover of ‘Ace of Spades,’ which was released online in 2007.
