Faith No More has announced their return to the stage after nearly a decade away from live performances. The legendary alternative metal band will join System of a Down for a series of co-headlining stadium shows across Australia and New Zealand in January and February 2027. The band stated: “It’s been a minute. Let’s do this Australia and NZ. Joining our friends System of a Down as we take over stadiums Jan/Feb 2027.”

The tour marks a significant milestone for Faith No More, whose last live performance took place in 2016. The announcement has generated considerable excitement among fans, though some have expressed mixed feelings about the band’s return format. Several Faith No More enthusiasts have voiced their preference for a standalone headlining tour rather than a supporting role. One fan commented that the band “should’ve done your own tour,” while another questioned the billing arrangement, suggesting that “Faith No More should be headlining and System opening.”

The confirmed tour dates span four major cities across the region. The band will perform at Sydney’s Accor Stadium on Friday, January 22, 2027. They will then move to Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium on Wednesday, January 27, 2027. Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium follows on Monday, February 1, 2027. The tour concludes with a show at Wellington’s Hnry Stadium on Sunday, February 7, 2027. These stadium venues represent some of the largest concert spaces in their respective cities.

The pairing of Faith No More and System of a Down represents a significant collaboration between two of rock music’s most influential and boundary-pushing acts. Both bands have maintained devoted fanbases throughout their careers. Their combined star power has generated substantial anticipation for the 2027 dates. The decision to present these shows as co-headlining events reflects the equal stature both bands command within the alternative metal community.

Ticket sales will commence with presales beginning on July 28, 2026. General public sales follow on July 31, 2026. The rapid ticket availability underscores the high demand for these performances. Fans from across Australia and New Zealand are preparing to secure their spots for what promises to be one of the year’s most significant rock events. For Faith No More, this tour represents not only a return to live performance but also a validation of their enduring relevance in the rock music landscape more than a decade after their last appearance on stage.
