A fan posted a photo of Liam with the caption, “Who is this? Wrong answers only,” to which Liam responded, “The vicar of f*cking dibley.” Another fan suggested, “Listen to the Cure,” to which Liam replied, “I’m not depressed.”

One user defended the band, saying, “Liam you can not be hating on the Cure,” and Liam responded, “I don’t hate them I just rather listen to 2 foxes shagging in the bushes at 5.30 am.”

Another fan warned him, “Don’t diss the Cure WILLIAM,” and Liam joked back, “What you gonna do chase me down the road with a fake spider?”

This isn’t the first time Liam has interacted with The Cure. Back in September, Oasis reunited and The Cure was set to release their first album in 16 years. Despite this, Liam didn’t think Oasis was lagging behind. In response to a meme comparing Oasis’ reunion to a bus and The Cure’s album to a train crashing into it, he wrote, “In your dreams you bunch of MOTHS.”

The fan page then shared a clip where Noel Gallagher spoke highly of Robert Smith, the lead singer of The Cure. “I’ve been a fan of the Cure all my life. It doesn’t look like I’m a fan of the Cure because all the Cure fans look like Robert Smith. But I’ve always admired his songwriting,” Noel had said in the interview.

The Cure’s new album, ‘Songs Of A Lost World,’ was released on November 1. The band had teased the news with a poster in Crawley, England, where they had played their first shows. Robert Smith had hinted at the album in 2021, though it was initially set for release in 2022.

Meanwhile, Oasis announced their reunion in August ahead of the 30th anniversary of their debut album ‘Definitely Maybe.’ Originally planning 17 shows across five cities in the U.K. and Ireland, the band added more dates due to high demand. The reunion tour will kick off in Cardiff, Wales, on July 4, 2025, and wrap up on November 8, with additional shows in the U.S. and Australia.
