Till Lindemann, frontman of the German rock band Rammstein, has been officially cleared in a defamation case brought against him. On October 24, 2025, the Regional Court of Hamburg issued a ruling prohibiting Shelby Lynn from making further allegations against Lindemann and the band. The judgment, which was shared on Instagram, represents a major legal win for the singer.

The case stemmed from accusations made by Shelby Lynn, a fan from Northern Ireland who attended Rammstein’s concert in Vilnius on May 22, 2023. Lynn alleged on social media that her drink had been drugged at a party organized by the band and claimed she was physically assaulted while unconscious. The allegations triggered a wave of global backlash against Lindemann and Rammstein.

In its decision, the Hamburg court determined that Shelby Lynn failed to provide evidence supporting her claims. “The Regional Court founds the prohibition on the fact that the statements quoted above are allegations of fact that have been found in legal proceedings to be untrue,” the court’s statement read. “As she alleges unconscionable conduct, the Court held that Shelby Lynn is subject to the burden of producing evidence for and proving the accuracy of her statements. She did not discharge this burden.”

The court further noted that Lynn’s oral testimony during the August 22, 2025 hearing did not persuade the judges. As a result, she has been formally prohibited from repeating her accusations against Lindemann and Rammstein. The decision marks a significant moment in a case that has attracted worldwide attention and prompted multiple legal proceedings across different countries. Lindemann and his legal team have consistently denied all allegations of misconduct.

Following Lynn’s public claims, Lithuanian authorities launched a pre-trial defamation investigation. Lindemann’s representatives repeatedly denied the accusations and warned of possible legal action against individuals spreading defamatory statements.

The matter later extended to Germany, where prosecutors opened an investigation into the sexual assault allegations but ultimately dropped the case due to lack of evidence—months before the Hamburg court’s ruling. Lynn’s statements had also brought attention to “Row Zero,” an alleged backstage selection system that became a central topic in media discussions. However, the Hamburg court concluded that her claims related to the Vilnius concert could not be substantiated. The ruling now legally prevents her from repeating those allegations.

With this verdict, Lindemann and Rammstein have secured a decisive legal victory, clearing their names of the defamation claims that arose from the 2023 concert controversy.
