Javier Arriaga had recently posted on his Facebook account a photo of him in the rehearsal studio with Fear Factory and announced that he would be filling in for bassist Tony Campos for the foreseeable future. The now deleted statement from the rocker read:
“I can announce now since [Fear Factory guitarist Dino Cazares] mentioned it in an interview today for KLAQ. I’m going to be playing bass with Fear Factory for the whole US run and some dates in Europe while Tony [Campos] catches up with us. Today we practiced and it felt like a f*cking dream. Someone pinch me please. Maybe not. I don’t want to wake up.”
As the former Scattered Storm drummer mentioned in his post, Fear Factory guitarist Dino stated in an interview that Javier would be joining the lineup, but there is still no official statement from the band as to why Arriaga deleted his post.
The drummer was scheduled to as the bassist for Fear Factory’s October shows. The band is gearing up for a five-date headlining ‘DisrupTour’ with special guests Lions At The Gate, which will kick off on October 7th.
They will follow up the mini-tour with the ‘October Dawn 2023’ tour with headliners Lacuna Coil and openers Lions At The Gate. The 10-date run will begin on October 13th in Atlanta and make stops in Louisville, Oklahoma City, and Houston before wrapping up in San Antonio, Texas on October 24th.
However, with Javier’s deleted post, fans are wondering who will take the stage with the band as the bassist. You can get more information about ‘DisrupTour’ tickets here.
