Marilyn Manson has dropped a new song titled ‘As Sick As The Secrets Within.’ The track is his first since the abuse allegations.

Manson is trying to make a comeback after being accused of sexual abuse by several women, including Westworld star Evan Rachel Wood, in early 2021. The rocker denies the claims. Since then, he’s been caught up in many different court cases and hasn’t put out any new music or played any shows since 2019.

The lyrics of this new track might be a subtle message to those allegations.

‘You’re Only As Sick As The Secrets Within’

In this part of the song, Manson may be suggesting that the allegations and secrets surrounding him reflect his personal and spiritual state. The metaphor of sickness emerging when secrets are revealed may refer to the scandals and accusations he has experienced.

‘I Built This Cage We’ve Been Trapped In Together’

In this sentence, Manson may be acknowledging how his own mistakes and choices affect himself and those around him. Being trapped in a cage of his own creation may be a reference to the legal and personal problems he has and is still experiencing.

‘Reason For Me, For Me To Get By / Became A Need, A Need To Get High‘

This might suggest that Manson turned to addictions and self-numbing to deal with his troubles. It might reflect his darker times and the psychological struggles he faced during that period.

‘But The Beast Is Calling For Us And Slowly Assuming Control’

These lines could imply that Manson is facing his inner darkness and personal demons that might be gradually taking over. This may symbolize his internal struggle and the impact of the accusations on him.

‘I Was Never Your Taxidermy / I’m Sewn Into Your Soul’

And these lines might highlight that Manson had a significant impact on his relationships and life, but he was not easily controlled. This could be his way of standing up against the accusations.

Manson is getting prepared to release a new record since his 2020 ‘We Are Chaos’ LP. There are not many details about it yet, but until then, you can hear the new track down below.
