Lzzy Hale recently shared on Instagram Stories why she has been less active on social media.
“Hello, my freaks. Lzzy here,” she wrote. “Thank you so much for understanding my lack of presence online. I’m in the middle of gearing up to release this amazing new Halestorm album and becoming the woman I was always meant to be. And the toxicity of the internet is not healthy for my heart or my soul. I am determined not to let anyone or anything steal my joy away. But I am here. And I love you all madly!”
In May, Hale announced that Halestorm was working on a follow-up to their 2022 album ‘Back from the Dead’ with producer Dave Cobb. A few months ago, she told ‘The Morning After With Nic & Big J’ that production would wrap up by December.
“And so we’ll be wrapping that up and then, we’ll probably be pushing something out a little sooner than that, hopefully,” Hale said. “But all best-laid plans, as you know. So, I’m really excited. I’m ready for it to be done.”
While working on the album, Halestorm released a single with I Prevail called ‘Can You See Me in the Dark?’ and co-headlined a summer tour. The band is now preparing for a 2025 tour.
